Thilak Sen, the founder of THISEN FOTO, is a highly experienced, skilled and artistic photographer with over 35 years in various photography fields. He has experience in photojournalism, fashion photography, aerial photography, wedding photography and commercial photography.
Thilak’s passion for photography began when he was just a young boy. His parents gifted him an Instamatic KODAK camera on his 12th birthday, which inspired his lifelong career. At the age of 17, he received the prestigious ‘Artist of the Year’ award at his school. After completing high school, he pursued advanced photography studies and later joined Independent Newspapers Pvt Ltd in Colombo, Sri Lanka as a photojournalist.
During his time as a photojournalist, Thilak gained invaluable experience in documenting different cultures, rituals and traditions. This experience has been highly beneficial for him when capturing Eastern and Western wedding ceremonies, each with its own unique customs and traditions.
